    Metal Cut
Off Saw
Need a metal cut off saw? The metal
cut off saw is an integral part to any woodworking or on the
job project, as such, you want to make sure you get the
best, most powerful one that will be able to handle the work
you give it on a day to day basis without issue.
In searching for that perfect metal cut
off saw, you’re going to have to do a lot of research,
however the Internet makes that job a whole lot easier as
you can easily see what other people have reviewed a certain
product before you go out and buy it.
I’m going to be going over a few of these
that have been rated really well over at Amazon to help you
along with your decision making process, so if you’re
looking for some insight, read on:
1. Milwaukee 6180-20 15 Amp
14-Inch Abrasive Cutoff Machine
This machine has gotten 4.5/5 stars from
27 users reviewing it which is a great rating. It
costs $196.95 which is a good mid-priced cut off saw to
consider. This one comes with a 5.4HP, 15 amp motor,
which is quite powerful. It also has a heavy base
which stops it from running the wheel into the floor when
this is used on the ground. It’s got a sturdy arm, a
“D” shaped one that allows you to put pressure down on it a
lot easier than a typical pistol grip. This also has a
nice quick release, a lever that goes 180 degrees that lets
you quickly adjust the clamp.
Overall, it’s a very sturdy and well made
metal cut off saw.
2. Milwaukee 619020 15 Amp
14-Inch Metal Cutoff Machine
A
more expensive yet slightly less popular one to consider is
this $415 behemoth. This one has a very large cutting
capacity and is great for cutting metal. It’s main
qualities are the fact that it is rugged and has a very low
level of vibration.
Some say that the blade gives out a little
too soon though and you’ll need to keep replacing it though,
hence the lower ratings than the previous model, however
this allows you to get some real nice precision, it cuts
right on the line.
3. High-Speed 7"
Abrasive-Wheel Cut-Off Saw - 3/4 H
This is the cheapest metal cut off saw of
them all at only $41.50. The reason I listed this last
is because it would only be useful for someone who is using
it for small time projects, nothing serious. If you’re
just using it for light construction work and you want to
save money by not buying something $100-200 more expensive,
this would be your best bet. It’s got ¾ HP, 8,300 RPM
and can cut stock up to 2 ½”.
